Peter joined the Andrews Davis law firm in 2008 with a background in criminal defense and civil litigation. He became a shareholder in 2013. He practices in the firm’s civil and criminal litigation departments. His practice primarily involves representing those accused of crimes in state and federal court. He also practices general civil litigation in state and federal court representing contractors, suppliers, operators, and other business people in a variety of litigation.
He is admitted to practice in the Oklahoma Supreme Court and all Oklahoma District Courts, as well as the United States District Court for the Northern and Western Districts of Oklahoma. He is a member of the Oklahoma County Bar Association, Ginsburg Inn of Court and Oklahoma Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. In 2008, he was appointed the chair person for the Federal Bar Association Pro Bono Committee, which assigns volunteer attorneys to civil rights cases filed by pro se inmates. Peter received the F.B.A. Western District of Oklahoma Award for Extraordinary Efforts to Provide Access to Justice for Civil Litigants in 1983 Cases and the 2011 Ruth Bader Ginsburg Award for Outstanding Associate. He currently serves as the District Justice for the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity. During his time as a lawyer Peter has tried numerous types of cases ranging from murder to construction defect cases with a high success rate.
Born in Wichita, Kansas, Peter graduated from Kansas State University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. He received his Juris Doctorate Degree in 2007 from Oklahoma City University School of Law. Mr. Scimeca is a graduate of the Gerry’s Spence’s Trial Lawyers College in Dubois. He continues his relationship with his law school by serving as an adjunct professor coaching mock trial teams.
Peter and his wife, Whitney, enjoy exploring the many lakes and rivers of Oklahoma in their old aluminum fish and ski boat. He also enjoys making personal home and auto repairs that usually result in providing business to local contractors and mechanics.
