Zachritz elected to Andrews Davis Board
Anne E. Zachritz has been elected to the Board of Directors of Andrews Davis, P.C. Ms. Zachritz concentrates her practice in employment defense and commercial litigation. She exclusively represents employers in employment litigation and in charges of discrimination before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Oklahoma Human Rights Commission. She also advises employers in a variety of employment issues from compliance issues to employment disputes. Gray Appointed to Work, Life Balance Committee
President of the Oklahoma Bar Association J. William Conger has appointed Cheri Gray to the Work, Life Balance Committee of the Oklahoma Bar Association. Her term will expire on December 31, 2010.

Harrison Appointed to OBA Committees
President of the Oklahoma Bar Association J. William Conger has appointed Sandra Harrison to the following two Standing Committees of the Oklahoma Bar Association: Women In Law Committee and to the Legislative Monitoring Committee. Her term on each Committee will expire on December 31, 2010.

Swedlow to Present Advanced Real Estate Law Seminar
Leif E. Swedlow will co-present an advanced real estate law seminar, along with Leigh E. English, on February 6, 2008 in Oklahoma City. The event, which will qualify for CLE credit including ethics, is titled "Landlord-Tenant Law in Oklahoma – Beyond the Basics." The program is being produced by Sterling Education Services, Inc. Andrews Davis Hosts Oklahoma Centennial Event

The Oklahoma City law firm of Andrews Davis hosted an official Oklahoma Centennial event on Friday, November 9, 2007, honoring the Oklahoma Centennial Poet Laureate and Pulitzer Prize winning author, Dr. N. Scott Momaday.

Dr. Momaday, who was just awarded the 2007 National Medal of Arts from President Bush, received the Pulitzer Prize for his book, A House Made of Dawn in 1969, won the Italian Premio Literario "Mondello," and was named an Artist for Peace by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

Guests included clients, Federal, State and local leaders and other honored friends of the Firm.  The event took place in the Chase Tower in downtown Oklahoma City, where Andrews Davis is located. Entertainment for the evening was provided by the Oklahoma Fancy Dancers who treated guests with various tribal dances, as well as a brief history of each dance. Oklahoma Lieutenant Governor Jari Askins introduced Dr. Momaday who then read the Oklahoma Centennial Poem, Oklahoma 1907-2007.

The evening concluded with the presentation of a donation from Andrews Davis to Dr. Momaday for the Rainy Mountain Foundation, a not-for-profit corporation founded by Dr. Momaday.  The foundation is currently seeking funds to build an archive for historic and cultural records and artifacts, a campsite for traditional gatherings, and a self-recording facility for the preservation of tribal heritage through stories.
