Leif joined the Firm in 2003 with a background in litigation, commercial law, trial and appellate practice and alternative dispute resolution. His current practice primarily involves complicated litigation matters in state and federal courts and administrative agencies. He also handles intellectual property matters and advises on contracts and legal issues relating to information technology and international equipment and technology sales transactions.
He has been admitted to practice in the Oklahoma Supreme Court and all Oklahoma District Courts, as well as the Texas state courts, the United States District Court for the Eastern, Northern and Western Districts of Oklahoma, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas, the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. He is the President of the Board of Directors for the Heart of Oklahoma Council of Camp Fire, USA. He has also been a volunteer for the Arts Council of Oklahoma for 16 years. Leif has received an AV Preeminent Peer Review Rating by Martindale-Hubbell.
Born in New York, New York, Leif graduated from Oklahoma City University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts. He received his Juris Doctorate in 1997 from Oklahoma City University School of Law. He was an editor for the O.C.U. Law Review, competed in multiple moot courts, and achieved cum laude distinction, Order of Barristers and other academic honors.
Leif is an avid scuba diver and holds PADI Advanced and Nitrox SCUBA certifications with over 150 logged dives in three oceans. He truly swims with sharks.
