David joined the Firm in 2006 with a background in civil litigation, commercial litigation and bankruptcy litigation and mediation. His current practice is a civil practice that includes commercial litigation, bankruptcy litigation and mediation.
He has been admitted to practice in the Oklahoma Supreme Court and all Oklahoma District Courts, as well as the United States District Court for the Eastern, Northern and Western Districts of Oklahoma, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern, Northern and Western Districts of Oklahoma and the United States Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit. He is an active member of the American, Oklahoma and Oklahoma County Bar Associations. He served as Governor of the Oklahoma Bar Association from 1998 to 2000 and was Director of the Oklahoma County Bar Association from 1983 to 1996. He was President of the county bar in 1992-1993 and served as a delegate to the American Bar Association in 1995-1996. David is a Master Emeritus of the William J. Holloway, Jr. American Inn of Court CV and was appointed by the Speaker of the Oklahoma House of Representatives to serve a four-year term on the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws. He is also active in charitable organizations of the legal profession and is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, serving during 2006-2007 as co-chair of the Oklahoma chapter of the Fellows. David is also Benefactor Fellow of the Oklahoma Bar Foundation and has served as a Trustee of that organization. He is listed as an Oklahoma Super Lawyer and is listed in Best Lawyers in the areas of Arbitration, Commercial Litigation, Bankruptcy Litigation, and Labor and Employment Litigation, as well as being named Best Lawyer of the Year in Mediation for 2013. David has received an AV Preeminent Peer Review Rating by Martindale-Hubbell.
Born and raised in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, David graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1964 with a Bachelor's Degree. He received his Juris Doctorate Degree in 1966 from the University of Oklahoma College of Law.
As a young boy David learned to ride a unicycle and is still well balanced.
