Anne joined Andrews Davis in 1999 with a background in labor and employment law and civil litigation. She practices in the Firm’s Employment and Labor and Litigation departments. Anne also represents employers in discrimination, retaliation and wrongful termination claims in federal and state courts where she advises businesses and represents them in litigation. Anne helps employers minimize risk and exposure to liability by developing effective policies and practices. In this regard, she advises employers on matters such as confidentiality agreements, wage and hour issues and employee handbooks, among other things. Anne also helps businesses with day to day issues such as employee discipline, leave requests, and terminations. She also represents property owners and business owners in litigation alleging discrimination and barriers to access under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Anne is admitted to practice in the Oklahoma Supreme Court and all Oklahoma District Courts, as well as the United States District Court for the Eastern, Northern and Western Districts of Oklahoma, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas, the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota, the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. She is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, the Oklahoma County Bar Association, the Minnesota State Bar Association and the State Bar of Texas.
Anne has served on the Firm’s Board of Directors for a number of years and is active in various professional organizations. She is a past President of the Oklahoma City Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, having also served as its Treasurer and National Delegate and serves on its Board of Directors. She is a Master of the Bench of the William J. Holloway, Jr. American Inn of Court. She served as a volunteer attorney for Oklahoma Lawyers for Children for many years and, in 2006, she received the Oklahoma County Bar Association Pro Bono Award. Anne has served as a Director of the Historic Neighborhoods Security Association for a number of years. In 2013, Anne was appointed by the Mayor of Oklahoma City to the Oklahoma City Historic Preservation Commission. She was recently appointed to serve as an Advisory Director to the Community National Bank of Okarche.
Anne has been listed as an Oklahoma Super Lawyer in employment and labor since 2008 and is listed in Best Lawyers in labor and employment litigation and employee benefits. Anne has received an AV Preeminent Peer Review Rating by Martindale-Hubbell.
Born and raised in Oklahoma City, Anne graduated from Colorado State University in 1985 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She received her Juris Doctorate degree in 1991 from the William Mitchell College of Law.
