Andrews Davis is pleased to announce that Chelsea Celsor Smith has become an associate at the firm effective September 22, 2011. Raised in the farming community of Sentinel, Oklahoma, Ms. Smith graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminology and a Minor in History. Ms. Smith received her Juris Doctorate from Oklahoma City University College of Law in 2011. While attending law school, Ms. Smith served as an Ambassador for the Admissions Office at the Oklahoma City University College of Law, a volunteer for the Innocence Project, a member of Phi Delta Phi Legal Fraternity and received the CALI Award for being the top student in Family Law. Ms. Smith also was the winner of the Charles Nesbitt Writing Competition for the Best Paper over Oil and Gas.

Andrews Davis Adds New Shareholder

Andrews Davis is pleased to announce that L. Win Holbrook has accepted a position as a Shareholder with the firm effective May 1, 2011. Mr. Holbrook joined Andrews Davis of counsel in April, 2009 and practices in the firm's bankruptcy department. Mr. Holbrook's undergraduate and law degrees are from Oklahoma City University. Mr. Holbrook was appointed to the panel of trustees for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Oklahoma in October of 1985. Since that time he has served as a trustee in more than 15,000 Chapter 7 cases. Mr. Holbrook has also served as a trustee, plan administrator or liquidating agent in several Chapter 11 cases. Further, he has served as a receiver in actions commenced by the Oklahoma Department of Securities and by other parties. Prior to joining Andrews Davis, Mr. Holbrook was a partner of the firm Holbrook & Toffoli.

Caves Joins Andrews Davis

Andrews Davis is pleased to announce that Matthew A. Caves has joined the firm effective March 1, 2011. Mr. Caves joins the firm as an associate with over ten years of experience in the areas of environmental and administrative law. Prior to joining Andrews Davis, Mr. Caves worked as an environmental attorney at the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality handling a multitude of regulatory compliance, enforcement and permitting issues. Mr. Caves received a Bachelor's degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Ecology from Oklahoma State University and a Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Oklahoma. While attending law school, Mr. Caves also studied the British Legal System at the University of Oxford, Queen’s College.
